Circuit Rider Program

We have three Circuit Riders who each cover the entire state. Two positions are funded by USDA-Rural Development and one “State Circuit Rider” by MDE (Maryland Department of the Environment).

We provide a Source Water Protection Specialist who travels throughout the state to assist rural water systems to reduce or eliminate the potential risks to drinking water supplies.

Our Wastewater Technician provides on-site technical assistance to rural municipal systems with populations under 10,000 and rural unincorporated areas within the state.
